Luxury car makers Bentley and Rolls-Royce have had long standing relationships with the fashion industry. Bentley even has its own line of handbags and women’s accessories that are coveted by the elite fashionistas of the world. Both brands are offering special editions that pay homage to the latest styles and trends.
Bentley Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series
The relationship between Bentley and Breitling has been a bit one sided. The watchmaker has been making luxury timepieces honoring the luxury carmaker since Bentley’s first LeMans win in 2003. Bentley now tips the scale with its latest special edition Continental GT Speed.
Bentley’s Muiliner Team has created a trim specific Continental GT Speed that honors the legendary watch maker. A custom two tone paint application is accented with Breitling specific yellow trim which carries into the cabin.
Unique sport seats and a Breitling clock are surrounded by Bentley’s trademark luxury and driving ergonomics. Silhouettes of the Breitling Jet Team accent the dashboard and unit number specific running boards indicate which of the cars is yours.
Each of the only 7 built will be equipped with the Continental GT Speed’s 626 horsepower 6 liter engine. Capable of a top speed of 206mph, owners may want to reign in the mileage as these are set to be instant classics.
These special edition Bentley cars will make their live appearance at the Seattle Air Show on July 31st 2015.
Rolls-Royce Wraith – Inspired by Fashion
According to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Director of Design Giles Taylor, the reason Wraith suits the so well is “this sense of fleeting – the fleeting spirit, slightly ethereal, slightly enigmatic” The original Wraith was produced in 1939 and was considered the carmaker’s best performance offerings during WWII. Only 492 were built and the original is one of the most sought after vintage Rolls-Royces. The new Wraith has the designation of the being the most powerful Rolls-Royce.
The Wraith and is now available in a designer edition that speaks in volumes to trend setting affluent drivers. Special white paint and deep chrome accents and wheels add glitz and glam to the elegant Wraith.
The Haute-Couture theme extends to the cabin as the interior is adorned in some of the finest silks and leathers available on the market. Trademarked sheepskin rugs and carpeting are a hallmark of any Rolls. A jeweled clock sits in the centre of the dashboard
and compliments the high style interior with a pearl like effect. Further customization and bespoke additions by Rolls-Royce will allow drivers to extend their own personal style to their own cars.
The Wraith is not just a beautifully trimmed machine. A fully capable grand touring coupe, it can reach 60mph from standstill in 4.4 seconds and the 6.6 litre V12 engine produces 624 horsepower. Rolls-Royce spares no expense on technology and The Wraith – Inspired by Fashion includes all the latest safety and handling gear to deliver a unique driving experience.
The Wraith in itself is a very exclusive automobile and the fashion edition elevates that exclusivity. The price of admission to this fashion show is $350,000 which is a substantial premium over the ‘standard’ Wraith.
