Geneva luxury hotel to become a Ritz-Carlton

Ritz-Carlton will take over Geneva’s historic Hotel De La Paix. The 150-year-old hotel will undergo a renovation before reopening as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix Geneva next year. The hotel, which is located on Lake Geneva, will cut its room count to 75 from 84. Concorde Hotels & Resorts currently operates the hotel.

Once Ritz-Carlton takes over Hotel de la Paix, Concorde will be left with three Concorde-branded properties as well as Marseilles’ Villa Massalia. Since 2013, Concorde has lost the Concorde Lafayette, Concorde Opera and Hotel Crillon in Paris as well as the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France.
