One of the least well known luxury watch brands is the French designed, Swiss made Pequignet watches. Whilst the reason why these watches are not as popular or well known as some of the other prestigious brands in the same price budget remains a mystery, however what we can tell you is that this is totally unjustified.
Having been founded by Emile Pequignet in France, the brand has since created line after line of men’s and women’s watches that ooze class and style. Some models use stainless steel straps, whereas some use leather or rubber, but all of the watches from Pequignet have that prestigious feel, no matter the components.
The Vintage collection is one of the particular stars that the brand has to offer, with the women’s part of the range being beautifully designed. Many of the Peguinet watches Vintage collection feature two tone metallic finishes, in silver and gold or silver and pink, but even the single silver tone watches offer simple elegance.
For men, there are two ranges that offer the most popular looks, the modern looking Triomphe and the far more classically designed Elegance ranges. The Triomphe range does have female versions too, but the more casual and almost sporty feel doesn’t translate as well to ladies watches, whereas for gents it works perfectly, showcasing the stylish black rubber straps. In contrast to the Triomphe men’s Elegance collection’s classic look, featuring reptile skin detailed leather straps, Roman numeral display and in some cases, exposed workings.
Pequignet watches will always draw comparisons to other brands, such as Raymond Weil, due to the fact that they fall into a similar price bracket and both are Swiss made, however the reason why Raymond Weil and Pequignet are not considered in the same league needs to be amended. Pequignet make quality watches, prestigious, well made and stylish watches that are at a great price point in the luxury market.
