Ferrari 458 Spider gets an elegant makeover by Kahn

Kahn is quite a revered name in the auto modding business. After doing up cars including Rolls Royce Ghost, Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche Cayenne, Maybach 57, Aston Martin Cygnet, Audi Q7, and a 2012 Vesuvius edition Sport 300 just to name a few, the brand is now out with a makeover to the Ferrari 458 Spider.

Sporting a silver makeover, the car sports redone front and rear sections, ceramic brakes, wing shields, upgraded F1 gearbox and yellow brake calipers and replaced the fabric roof of the convertible with a "sublime folding hardtop" that fold in 14 seconds and is 25kg lighter than the equivalent.

The assembly has just two moving parts that slot neatly into a gap between the engine and the seats, and the relatively compact space needed to house it means there’s a small rear luggage bench.

It’s a question of taste whether a fabric roof would have looked better, but this car couldn’t be ugly if it tried.
