According to reports in Italian media, Qatar’s recent 650 million euro investment in four hotel in Sardinia, is to be followed by the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, currently owned by , controlled by Marcello and Corrado Fratini. The 118 rooms and suites Four Seasons Hotel in Florence is housed within the historical 15th century Palazzo della Gherardesca, on over 4 hectares of lush gardens.

Hermès sales soar on Asian appetite for luxury
Paris-based Hermès, whose Birkin bags can sell for around £6,000, said sales jumped 16.4pc at constant exchange rates to €3.5bn (£3bn) as it expanded its footprint in Asia. Hermès, which is due to post its full-year results in March, opened two new branches in Taiwan and China while six other stores were renovated or expanded.
