1. The Penninsula Beverly Hills, California – Rolls-Royce and Infiniti
Surrounded by tropical gardens on a stylish shopping street, this luxury property is 3.2 miles from Los Angeles County and 5.4 miles from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “We have a long and wonderful relationship with Rolls-Royce,” says Penninsula PR rep Jessica Wong. “In Hong Kong, we recently ordered 12 cars; those are all chauffered. In Beverly Hills, for August only, for guests of the silver suite, we offered a silver Rolls-Royce. We now have six Infinitis.”
2. St. Regis, NYC – Bentley
“All guests have access to the hotel’s house Bentley house car,” said a spokesperson for the St. Regis, which features rooms with 12-foot ceilings, silk wall coverings and chandeliers, sitting areas and Italian marble bathrooms as well as 24-hour personal butler service and one of the best reputations any 5-star property can enjoy. “However, the car has a dedicated driver. Guests may rent the car for private use but the car would be driven by our driver, not the guest.”

4. Balboa Bay Resort, California – Maserati
The elegant Balboa Bay is set on a on a 15-acre plot on the waterfront resort just off the Pacific Coast Highway. Marble and granite bathrooms, private balconies with harbor views, suites with soaking tubs and wet bars and an Olympic-sized swimming pool and more top the high-end experience. “If you book the Coastal Riviera Luxury Experience, which starts at $2,000 per night, you get the exclusive use of a Maserati,” says Balboa Bay Resort marketing manager Kevin Gasparro.
5. The Epiphany Hotel and Carmel Valley Ranch – BMW I8
These two fine hotels are currently offering the use of a single BMW i8 hybrid in a $4,429, 3-day package called “A Tale Of Two Valleys,” where guests experience a mapped-out road trip and are treated the finest of care and service. Guests, however, must own a car and supply the hotels with their own insurance information for use of the i8. That means if you’re not insured, even if you have a clean license, you cannot participate in the package. Seth McDaniels, Assistant General Manager for the Epiphany, replied to an emailed inquiry about it: “We work with a third party luxury car rental to access the BMW vehicle for this package. As such, they require insurance from the driver, which we appreciate and support as to avoid any legal issues that may arise.” In other words, you are required to insure a car you don’t own.
The above are but a few properties offering upscale cars, too; others include the Hilton Worldwide’s Waldorf Astoria collection of luxury hotels, which debuted its Waldorf Astoria Driving Experiences two years ago at five luxury U.S. hotels including California’s La Quinta Resort & Club, Florida’s Boca Raton Resort & Club and the Arizona Biltmore. More recently, the company launched a new partnership with Lamborghini whereby Waldorf Astoria guests will be given special access to drive on some of the most scenic routes in the country.
